There are many variations of cephalometric analysis; the IBO board has selected a set of relevant, useful cephalometric data points to allow members to measure and analyze their patient’s condition to the pre-established norms. This standardized information helps to formulate treatment plans and to communicate with other colleagues.
IBO Cephalometric Criteria has six sections including: Growth Potential, Growth Direction, Airway, Skeletal Vertical, Skeletal Sagittal, Dental Relationships, and Soft Tissue Profile.
The challenge is to analyze and coordinate the data to present a meaningful description of the individual patient problems, growth potential, treatment plan and discussion as to why and how we treat the patient.
The 2017 inaugural forum’s theme is the IBO Cephalometric Criteria covering these six sections including: Growth Potential, Growth Direction, Airway, Skeletal Vertical, Skeletal Sagittal, Dental Relationships, and Soft Tissue Profile.
We have 11 team members and each team member will explore an assigned section. Use all sources to gather the information and distil down to a concentrated useful presentation of 30 to 45 minutes. The combined result is a comprehensive understanding of the IBO Cephalometric Analysis.
Though the forum is scheduled from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, it may continue after dinner from 7 pm until it ends.
Each team member please send your completed text and powerpoint to Dr. Kenneth Lau through email firstname.lastname@example.org. All text and PPT will be combined into one. All speakers will go home with a copy of the comprehensive power point presentation and manuscript. From this we hope to submit for publication.
