That somewhat depends on the system you use, but usually would be accomplished by either coil spring or elastic link to push or pull the tooth in the desired direction.
Most “conventional” (i.e. not “mini” overdenture type) implants are a minimum diameter of 3.2mm, and ideally should have 2mm of space between the implant and adjacent teeth on each side. So should have a total of 7.2 mm. Most digital 2D x-ray systems have a measurement function which should give you a good idea of space.
