Mulligan Mechanics Part XV The Center Bend – To Close The Space

Centre Bend is a bend placed right in the middle of the space between two teeth.  It maybe 45°, or less and the “V” is pointing occlusally. It brings roots together and crowns apart.  The elastomeric chain will move crowns together; therefore, the net effect is the convergence of the roots.

Because there is no short arm or long arm, there are no forces, only equal and opposite moments (tipping).
